I installed from the aperture 2 DVD. So I had to show hidden files using the app Onyx. Then copy all the files from the DVD to my hard drive. Then edit the hidden aperture.mpkg as described above. 

Aperture works well with my PowerBook, just that the programs interface animations are a bit jerky.</description>
